Rytons are experts in natural ventilation. Whether new build, renovation, refurbishment, house building, high-rise building, boilers, stoves, fires, damp and condensation or fire safety, we have over 50 years experience in the complexities of ventilation and have an extensive product range and knowledge to help.
Quality is at the foundation of everything we do. From manufacturing well-designed products made of high-grade materials that last, to ensuring those products are well packaged and dispatched quickly to sites, merchants and distributors. Our standards are high and we are proud of them.
Whether you call us or use our online resources, our goal is to provide services that are efficient, friendly and as hassle-free as possible. That’s why we don’t ask for registration to access any of our website content – including UK Building Regulation-compliant ventilation calculators. That’s why we provide a free time saving acoustic evaluation service to house builders. And it’s why we have a sales team trained to provide technical advice as well as take orders.

Please note: As a manufacturer, we deal exclusively with trade professionals and are unable to take orders from members of the public.
Delivery:
Orders confirmed before 3pm are dispatched the same day for delivery the next working day (some postcode restrictions apply). Timed overnight delivery services may also be available for an extra charge. Call our sales office to check service availability in your area.
Orders to Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are normally delivered in 2-3 working days (subject to customs clearance).
We regret that we cannot accept orders for delivery to the United States of America or Canada.
Collections:
Collections are welcome from our warehouse at Design House, Kettering Business Park, Kettering, Northamptonshire NN15 6NL, England.

Delivery Charges:
UK Mainland: Free delivery is available on orders of £100 nett to any address on the UK mainland – including sites. Orders below £100 nett are subject to a £20 carriage charge.
Northern Ireland: A contribution towards carriage will be charged on orders below £500 nett. Completion of the Supplementary Declaration (using the HMRC Trader Support Service) is the responsibility of the ‘Importer of Record’, i.e., the purchaser. Your company XI EORI number will be required.
Republic of Ireland: A contribution towards carriage will be charged on orders below £500 nett. A £75 nett administration charge for mandatory export documents will be invoiced with goods. Your company Eircode and EORI number will be required. If palletised only ISPM15 wood packaging compliant pallets will be used.
From 3 January 2023, confirmation of a signed and returned Direct Representation Authority (DRA) form between your company and our haulier (PTI Express) will be required before goods can be dispatched. If a DRA form has not been completed, one will be issued to you and should be completed and returned promptly, to avoid delays.
Other Offshore and International: Carriage costs, export/import fees and requirements to be confirmed dependent on the size, weight, and the delivery address of the order.
Please note: All goods are shipped DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid). Payment of customs charges is the responsibility of the purchaser.

Payment can be made by debit card, credit card (excluding American Express) and BACS (orders dispatched once payment is received). A pro-forma invoice

International Payments: All transactions will be in £ sterling. A pro-forma invoice and ‘Secure Pay’ link will be issued for payment.
Rytons History
At the heart of Rytons are its family ties, read how Rytons has been a family business for three generations.
The first generation …
In 1972 William Irwin and his wife Beatrice formed Ryton’s Ventilation Equipment Ltd, operating out of a small office and garage storage space in Purley, Surrey. Ryton’s had developed the first-ever dedicated cavity vents, the Slim Vent® Minor and Slim Vent® Major, at a time when modern methods of construction meant efficient cavity ventilation was becoming crucial in the prevention of condensation. Architects and contractors quickly saw the benefits of this pioneering method of ensuring neat and effective cavity ventilation, and a new industry standard for using preformed perpend vents was born. Sadly, William died in Ryton’s early years, however, Beatrice continued to successfully run the company until 1982, when it was taken over by their eldest son Roger Irwin.
The second generation …
In 1982 Roger and his wife Jackie, a fellow Director, relocated the company to Kettering, Northamptonshire, renting a small office and stock room. In the beginning, Jackie ran the office processing orders and sending out company information, whilst Roger had a day job as an accountant, working long into the evenings on plans to expand the business. It wasn’t long before Roger left accounting to concentrate on Rytons full time (although his job remained open for him, he never went back).
The next two and a half decades saw the company (now named Rytons Building Products Ltd) grow exponentially. Moving to purpose-built office and warehouse spaces, developing a full product range, investing in manufacturing, securing stockists, growing admin, sales, and marketing teams, becoming a market leader and trusted name for quality natural ventilation products in the UK.
The third generation …
In 2007, Rytons was pleased to welcome in the third generation, Anthony Irwin, as Sales Manager. New to this role but certainly not new to the company, Anthony had worked ad-hoc for as long as he could remember earning money packing boxes during school holidays. Anthony brought in fresh ideas for product development such as Rytons LookRyt® Range and has driven the company forward in the expansion of metal fabrication with Rytons A1® Fire-rated Range. Appointed as Company Director in 2012, and Managing Director in 2022, Anthony runs the company, developing new and exciting products for future generations, in the hope that one day his own children will make the fourth generation.
What happened to those original two products?
We are happy to report that Rytons Slim Vent® Minor and Rytons Slim Vent® Major still form part of our cavity vents range today, a true testament to the original idea.
In 2022 Rytons celebrates its 50th Anniversary, Anthony Irwin commented, “Rytons 50th Anniversary is a very special occasion for our family, but none of the above would have happened without the support of our loyal staff and customers, we thank you.”

Hi. I’m emailing from Ireland. I had work done in my house a few years ago by a northern Irish company and they used your air vents. (the one with the paintable/wall paperable internal cover). Can I just say they are brilliant and I really absolutely love them. Last year I had more work done ... I’m looking to buy 2 full vent sets 125mm diameter with the paintable covers and if possible 2 paintable vent covers to replace existing covers ... your vents are the best thing in the world.

We used the product as there is an industrial building near the site that creates a noise issue and knew that the vent would provide an acoustic solution that window trickle vents would not be able to. The new houses are fully occupied and we know the vents are doing their job as we've had no feedback from the owners. Morris Homes Midlands had a specific requirement to deliver acoustic insulation and ventilation at our site in Swadlincote. We chose the LookRyt AirCore product to deliver our ventilation requirements because it achieved the performance characteristics required, whilst also being the most aesthetically pleasing product we could find. We felt it would be unobtrusive in our homes, and the fact the interior cover can be decorated was a big bonus for us. The product is also commercially very competitive, readily available and easy to fit. We will be using this product again in the future.
