Rytons A1® Fire-rated Air Bricks are single, double, triple and soldier size galvanised steel air bricks. Available in three styles – Return Grille, Square Holed and FlowRyt® – each air brick provides a high air flow whilst maintaining low resistance. Fire classification A1 they are suitable for use in the external walls of high-rise ‘relevant buildings’ over 18m (11m in Scotland), buildings 11m and above undergoing unsafe cladding remediation work, and the external surfaces of all ‘residential’ purpose group buildings more than 11m high.

Rytons A1® classification air bricks are sized to bricks not ducting, allowing easy fitting and the use of standard mortar joints for a neater appearance in brickwork.

They are the only non-combustible air bricks with built-in weather protection to reduce the risk of water transferring into the cavity or attached HVAC ducting.
- Precautionary drainage holes provide a discreet water outlet across all metal air brick designs.
- Louvred styles (Return Grille and FlowRyt®) are designed with angled grilles to promote runoff.

More than grille plates, these fire safe air bricks are 50mm deep. This depth allows a telescopic fitting to Rytons A1® Fire-rated Ducting Kits, which gives the flexibility to extend the length of the ducting kit during installation to accommodate minor variations in the external façade.

Rytons A1® fire-rated air bricks are available with and without a 15mm flange, providing an option for building into brickwork and for use with cladding, where the flange provides a neat finish and corner screw holes aid secure fixing.

Rytons metal air bricks come powder coated in the customer’s choice of colour from the RAL Classic colour chart in matt, semi-gloss or gloss finish. Signature architectural coatings are also available. All powder coatings achieve A2-s1, d0.
