ABC8 – Rytons 8½x8 AirCore® Cowl
General Details
Rytons 8½×8 AirCore® Cowl (ABC8) is designed to protect air bricks and vents from rain, debris, and wind while maintaining airflow. A replacement cowl for Rytons 125mm Cowled LookRyt® AirCore® range.
Features and Benefits:
- Surface-mounted cover for openings, air bricks, grilles and vents.
- Provides cowl protection against excessive weather conditions.
- Prevents the ingress of driving rain and snow.
- Alleviates air blasts through the cavity.
- Keeps debris out during storms.
- Textured roughcast finish.
- Compatible with Rytons 125mm AirCore® sets and 6×6 Louvre Ventilators.
- U.V. stabilised to slow down the effects of sunlight.
Important: This is a plastic component and is not suitable for use in the following:
a) external walls of buildings over 11m high where people sleep, whether residential, institutional or hospitality; or
b) external wall surfaces within 1m of a boundary where the building is 11m high or less, in England.

Installation:
- First check that the free air space of the cowl exceeds the air space required by the covered opening, air brick, grille or vent.
- Fix the cowl to the brickwork through the pre-formed holes in the flange.
