PUFV – Rytons Periscope® Underfloor Ventilator
General Details
Rytons Periscope® Underfloor Ventilator (PUFV) is a telescopic underfloor ventilation system for use with block and beam and suspended timber floors. It provides a continuous ventilation path through external walls and is adjustable to suit varying brick course heights.

Important: This product is manufactured from plastic and is not suitable for use within the external walls of high-rise buildings over 18m (11m in Scotland), or in buildings 11m and above undergoing unsafe cladding remediation works.

Installation:
No special fixing required. Installation is easily carried out as work proceeds.
Adjust the height of the Periscope® to suit brick courses and height of floor (cutting if necessary).
Accessories:
- To vertically extend more than 5 brick courses, use Rytons Periscope® Vertical Extension (PUFVVEXT).
- To connect soil pipe for extended ducting, use Rytons Horizontal Adaptor (HADAP100).
- To horizontally extend through wide inner or outer leaves, use Rytons 9×3 Non-Telescopic AirLiner® (TCL8LNR).

Ventilate the underfloor space by providing openings in two opposing external walls to ensure free airflow between opposite sides and all parts of the void. Ventilate voids at not less than 1500mm² per metre run of external wall or 500mm² per m² of floor area, whichever is greater. Provide ventilation through internal sleeper walls or other obstructions to maintain airflow. - NHBC Standards (suspended timber floors)
Ventilators should be spaced at maximum 2m centres and within 450mm of each end of any wall. - Building Regulations
