Rytons A1® Fire-rated Metal Air Bricks for PUFV
General Details
- Custom-made metal air bricks compatible with Rytons Periscope® Underfloor Ventilator (PUFV).
- Made from A1 classified galvanised steel for fire safety, strength and durability.
- Non-combustible for use in a wide range of applications where durability, fire resistance and aesthetics of the subfloor air brick are essential.
- Choice of air brick styles meet different design, airflow and vent placement requirements in buildings. For cladding, flanged options cover cut edges to maintain the external appearance.
- Provide high airflows for effective ventilation.
- Supplied custom powder coated to Class A2-s1, d0, with options from the RAL Classic colour chart in matt, semi-gloss or gloss finishes. Signature architectural finishes available on request.
- Integrated weather protection includes discreet drainage holes and angled louvres to promote water runoff and reduce the risk of transfer into the subfloor ventilator.
- Brick-sized for simple installation using standard mortar joints, ensuring an aligned appearance in brickwork.
- When combined with Rytons Periscope® Underfloor Ventilator (PUFV), Rytons A1® Fire-rated Metal Air Bricks for PUFV are suitable for:
- The external surfaces of residential purpose group buildings more than 11m high.
- The external surfaces of residential purpose group buildings 11m high or less where an external wall is within 1m of the relevant boundary.
- All other residential and non-residential buildings.

A1 Fire Classification Explained:
- Rytons A1® Fire-rated Metal Air Bricks for PUFV are made from galvanised steel. Galvanised steel is considered fire class A1 without testing, as per European Commission paper 96/603/EC referred to in BS EN 13501-1:2018.
- Classification: A1. Definition: Non-combustible. Description: No contribution to fire.
