Rytons A1® Fire-rated Metal Air Bricks for PUFV
General Details
- A range of custom-made metal air bricks compatible with Rytons Periscope® Underfloor Ventilator (PUFV).
- Manufactured from A1 classified galvanised steel.
- Use in a wide range of applications where durability, fire resistance, and aesthetics of the subfloor air brick are essential.
- Two air brick styles meet different design, airflow and vent placement requirements in buildings. For cladding, flanged options cover cut edges to maintain the external appearance.
- Provide high airflows for effective ventilation.
- Supplied custom powder coated to Class A2-s1, d0. Choose from the RAL Classic colour chart in matt, semi-gloss or gloss finishes to match cladding or brickwork. Signature architectural finishes are also available.
- Built-in weather protection. Drainage holes in the air brick provide discreet water outlets, and louvred style features angled grilles to promote runoff, reducing the risk of water transfer into the subfloor ventilator.
- Brick size for easy installation using standard mortar joints for a neat appearance in brickwork.
- When combined with Rytons Periscope® Underfloor Ventilator (PUFV), Rytons A1® Fire-rated Metal Air Bricks for PUFV are suitable for:
- The external surfaces of residential purpose group buildings more than 11m high.
- The external surfaces of residential purpose group buildings 11m high or less where an external wall is within 1m of the relevant boundary.
- All other residential and non-residential buildings.

A1 Fire Classification Explained:
- Rytons A1® Fire-rated Metal Air Bricks for PUFV are made from galvanised steel. Galvanised steel is considered fire class A1 without testing, as per European Commission paper 96/603/EC referred to in BS EN 13501-1:2018.
- Classification: A1. Definition: Non-combustible. Description: No contribution to fire.
